One More Way to Load Up

 

I’m always looking for ways to load different exercises to get a different training effect. It could be by holding a dumbbell or barbell in different positions. It could be by using the Landmine unit in place of a barbell or dumbbells. Or it could be by using bands or chains. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////In the case of chin ups or pull ups the traditional ways of increasing the load are by attaching weight to a dip/chin up belt or by wearing a weight vest. Here I went non-traditional and I attached a band to the dip/chin up belt. ///////////////////////////////////////////////////// How is this different than just attaching weight to the belt? With the use of a band you are forced to accelerate through where many people have a sticking point and the band is placing more tension at the top of the movement making the lock out harder.
